GNO at the Lake Cabin

I have some really great girlfriends. One of them has a cabin at a nearby lake and opens it up to a group of us once a month for a Girl's Night Out. It's just a few minutes from home, really, but you feel like you're at a resort. We all bring snacks and adult beverages and snack, drink, and chat for a few hours and then head back to our respective lives. It means so much to me, to have this thread of connection with these women -- all from different backgrounds, lifestyles, even cultures. To be accepted unconditionally into a group and have the common ground of our children to really bind us all together. It's neat. I can't think of a word to really do this feeling justice, so I'll leave it at "it's neat."
